Camp Freeze Brochure Summer 2010
Advanced Camp Freeze Brochure Summer 2010
Camp Freeze for Beginners is a great track for kids with little or no skating experience. We start the week off the ice, finding the proper fit of skates and learning the correct way to lace up. Before getting on the ice, campers are lead through warm-up and stretching exercises. Once on the ice, instructors cover everything from safely falling down and getting back up, to skating forward and backward and stopping.
Throughout the week, campers participate in many fun activities, on and off the ice:
- Building Snowmen
- Creating Colorful Ice Paintings
- Sled Rides
- Hockey or Broomball Games
- Relays
- Organized Games
- Personal Photo on the Zamboni
Best of all, everyday campers learn a new part of choreography for a routine set to music. At the end of the week each group puts on a performance for family and friends.
For ages 4 - 12 years old. Kids will be grouped according to age and enrollment. Each child should bring a pair of gloves or mittens, a hat, and layers of warm clothing for on the ice. They will also need tennis shoes and shorts for playing outside.
This is a half-day camp, and kids should eat lunch before they arrive. There will be a snack break in the afternoon, so pack something healthy.
Due to limited enrollment size, refunds are not available later than two weeks prior to the start of camp. There are no make-ups available for Camp Freeze.
Advanced Camp Freeze is an all-day camp, meant for skaters Gamma level and higher.
